Geez. A week or so ago a really good friend I went to school asked me on Facebook what happened to me during a certain time of my life. I typed out a long email to her and lost it. I accidentally hit a bookmark at the top of the page and it took me off facebook… when I hit the back arrow it was gone. I was upset.

I realized then… that time in my life had been horribly hard and I obviously hadn’t dealt with it. My life could have been so different. So much better. I am sad thinking about it. I am stinkin sobbing like a baby. Stupid hormones or something… sheesh…

I reconnected with 4 of those friends tonight.

Okay… this is going to be scattered, smothered, covered, capped, and peppered like I like my Waffle House hashbrowns.

Scattered-
I have been having weird memories lately. Random, scattered, no relation to the other kinda weird memories. Some are sad, some make me think, what was that?!

I was remembering some old stuff and Danny and I started talking about rides at Fair Park. I was looking to see if anyone had pics online. I wish we had more pics of stuff from when I was a kid. After seeing all the changes at Coleman Park I know why people take landmark shots now. I need to take more pics of places we frequent. It is sad to see old places get torn down. Seeing certain places keeps memories fresh. When they are gone it is harder to remember.

I found this while searching for pics of Fair Park.

This is a pic of the old playground at Centennial Park. I remember playing in this a lot as a kid. My Dad’s family would have reunions at Centennial Park. Wow. I miss those days. Walking along the barrier wall with all my cousins. Begging to go ride the paddle boats just over the hill. Pigging out and then running and playing. Hoping to God you didn’t have to go pee cause it was a nasty outhouse with a distinct deodorizer scent. STINK is in distinct, you know. :P

I remember walking the honeycomb path. Too weird. I remember hating theĀ  sand getting in my sandals, just like I do today. Never been a fan of sand.

I FINALLY found this! I actually screamed out loud.

I LOVED!!!! this ride at Fair Park. WOW! This was my whole focus from the time I got there to the time I finally got to ride it. I remember my parents wouldn’t let me ride it for a while because they didn’t think I could make it back. You had to make it go with brute arm strength. It was awesome. I would like to try an adult version of it now. lol Wow. Good memories. I also remember the trash cans that were a clown face. It would talk to you and suction the trash out of your hand. It was sorta scary.

I also remember the stupid go-carts. I was NEVER tall enough to ride them. When I thought I had finally grown tall enough to ride, they moved the line up. *sniffle* Kids I went to school with would say the same thing. So it wasn’t just me.

This was just a weird memory…

I remember going here when I was a kid. I can still picture the inside of the building. I remember talking to a white man with a reddish brown afro. I called Momma on this one but she didn’t remember anything. *shrugs*

Smothered-
With this bad weather my kids are making me feel smothered. UGH! Have you ever been in a relationship where you are bombarded with attention and you want to just shove them away and say enough already leave me alone for a few but you can’t tell them because they are needy and it will crush them because they are the type that doesn’t understand the concept of down time or alone time… yeah.. I’m there with the kids. lol They need to be able to go outside or go somewhere for a while. Shew.

Covered-
I am freezing. I can’t stay warm. I am tired all the time. I need some stinkin’ sunshine. I think all this rain has stirred up some mold and made me have a migraine for 2 days. Not fun at all. Boooooo on you rain!

Capped-
Danny has been looking for a Steelers hat since he got Christmas money in his hand. ha. We went to 2 different Lids stores. The one in Hickory You Might Get Shot or Raped Hollow and to Opry Please Paint Directional Lines On The Floor Mills. Lord help me. I HATE shopping. UGH! Anything in the general Antioch area makes me fear for my safety. You never know when someone might bust a cap in you. haha, that goes with this capped category. And Opry Mills makes me want to go Walmart on someone. (remember I renamed going postal to going walmart?!) Geez people! Stay on your side of the mall! UGH! It is hard enough walking through there just by yourself or with one other person but try it with 6 kids! Right after Christmas!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I HATE it!

Hang on… I am fixing to rant about Opry Mills while I am on the subject. Have you ever ate there!!!!!! WHAT!? Are you kidding me!? The Subway doesn’t even have the $5 deal! And ANY drink is going to cost you $2.50!!!! Grrrrrrrrr… makes me so mad. It is such a rip off. To help you make a better choice, Dickies… *growls Dickies cause it is a family tradition*… is a really good choice for food. They are cheap and really good and it is plenty of food. You could even share with a kid! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIF we ever eat there again it will be at Dickies. *growls Dickies again*

AND the stupid strollers are $5!!!! CRAZY! And the “you are here” signs are too far apart. They need a stinkin map like Opryland use to have because you think something is just around the bend when all of the sudden you are at RainForest because you have made it all the way to the end! UGH! Then you have to loop back and hope you don’t pass it. Grrrrrrr.. And might I add. They don’t really have that great of deals!

Back to capped…
Danny didn’t find any Steelers hats at either place. So he ordered some offline from Lids. I don’t know why he limits himself to shopping there.. maybe the buy one get one half off deal but I am sure there are better deals online. Whatever. He got him a Vanderbilt and Steelers hat. And then he Silas and Toby a hat. Ben always wears a John Deer hat.

Peppered-
Let me tell you, the peppered option at Waffle House is SPICY! Wow! Me and Caetie both get them that way and it is super hot. This section is about me and Danny cause we are super hot. lol

Actually…. I don’t make resolutions but this year.. he resolved to be more considerate and a better spouse… at least I think so. He has certainly made great effort to be that way so far this year. So, by default of being treated super awesome it has made me want to be his friend. LMBO! Seriously… we have a hard time getting along sometimes. We are both very different yet sometimes we are very alike. It is weird. He is more serious and talks a hole in the wall. I am more goofy and mess around. I like to sit quietly. He can never sit quietly. Lots of things like that, that will directly conflict with the other. Makes for a nice head butting relationship. So… he is nicer and more considerate. I am more affectionate and loving. So… so far… we have a peppered marriage in 09. 8)
