Really. Nothing.
I have several video ideas floating around in my head. Nothing much to talk about. *shrug* *sigh*

Last night we had a going away party for Paul. He leaves Thursday for 6 months. Sadness. We are hoping to get to go see him at least once. The beach is a big motivator but we wont tell him that. haha. KIDDING! I HATE sand! Blah.
Anyway… we had several people over. I cooked a big meal. After getting locked out of the truck for a few I was behind schedule but it all worked out. Thanks to Rachel for bringing me the keys and rolling some baked potatoes! That helped a LOT!
So after every0ne left last night at 2am. Danny and I decided to totally bail on church. We declared 1/18/2009 Official Lazy Day. We have stuck to it. Because we only went out for a few minutes to take a coffee cup back to my Dad and to get 4 subs from Quiznos. We came straight back and have been glued to football ever since.
After this lazy day… busy busy busy…
Monday- I might be going walking with Rach. It depends on how everything works out. She is feeling sick and I am too. Plus we forgot Caetie wont be back yet to watch Sara and Em. Bummer. So maybe…. walking. Then I have to get Caetie sometime around 5ish. Maw Maw is coming over at 6:15pm. I need to cook tacos for them. Then Paul and Emily are picking us up for the Preds game. Paul got military appreciation day tickets and invited us along. Cool. I have never ever been to a hockey game. Ever. Weird eh?
Then Tuesday is more walking or beginning walking.. haha. I will definitely walk Tuesday. And then maybe hook with Diane to check out the Room In the Inn thing. *shrugs* MAYBE…
Wednesday is a 4 hour Dr visit for Allie. She is getting allergy tested. She isn’t going to be happy. I haven’t secured childcare for that day. I really don’t want to take 6 kids at nap time for a 4 hour wait. BLAH.
Thursday… I have GOT to get some stuff done around here.
We shall see… *shrugs*
Okay… this is going to be scattered, smothered, covered, capped, and peppered like I like my Waffle House hashbrowns.
Scattered-
I have been having weird memories lately. Random, scattered, no relation to the other kinda weird memories. Some are sad, some make me think, what was that?!
I was remembering some old stuff and Danny and I started talking about rides at Fair Park. I was looking to see if anyone had pics online. I wish we had more pics of stuff from when I was a kid. After seeing all the changes at Coleman Park I know why people take landmark shots now. I need to take more pics of places we frequent. It is sad to see old places get torn down. Seeing certain places keeps memories fresh. When they are gone it is harder to remember.
I found this while searching for pics of Fair Park.

This is a pic of the old playground at Centennial Park. I remember playing in this a lot as a kid. My Dad’s family would have reunions at Centennial Park. Wow. I miss those days. Walking along the barrier wall with all my cousins. Begging to go ride the paddle boats just over the hill. Pigging out and then running and playing. Hoping to God you didn’t have to go pee cause it was a nasty outhouse with a distinct deodorizer scent. STINK is in distinct, you know.

I remember walking the honeycomb path. Too weird. I remember hating theĀ sand getting in my sandals, just like I do today. Never been a fan of sand.
I FINALLY found this! I actually screamed out loud.

I LOVED!!!! this ride at Fair Park. WOW! This was my whole focus from the time I got there to the time I finally got to ride it. I remember my parents wouldn’t let me ride it for a while because they didn’t think I could make it back. You had to make it go with brute arm strength. It was awesome. I would like to try an adult version of it now. lol Wow. Good memories. I also remember the trash cans that were a clown face. It would talk to you and suction the trash out of your hand. It was sorta scary.
I also remember the stupid go-carts. I was NEVER tall enough to ride them. When I thought I had finally grown tall enough to ride, they moved the line up. *sniffle* Kids I went to school with would say the same thing. So it wasn’t just me.
This was just a weird memory…

I remember going here when I was a kid. I can still picture the inside of the building. I remember talking to a white man with a reddish brown afro.
I called Momma on this one but she didn’t remember anything. *shrugs*
Smothered-
With this bad weather my kids are making me feel smothered. UGH! Have you ever been in a relationship where you are bombarded with attention and you want to just shove them away and say enough already leave me alone for a few but you can’t tell them because they are needy and it will crush them because they are the type that doesn’t understand the concept of down time or alone time… yeah.. I’m there with the kids. lol They need to be able to go outside or go somewhere for a while. Shew.
Covered-
I am freezing. I can’t stay warm. I am tired all the time. I need some stinkin’ sunshine. I think all this rain has stirred up some mold and made me have a migraine for 2 days. Not fun at all. Boooooo on you rain!
Capped-
Danny has been looking for a Steelers hat since he got Christmas money in his hand. ha. We went to 2 different Lids stores. The one in Hickory You Might Get Shot or Raped Hollow and to Opry Please Paint Directional Lines On The Floor Mills. Lord help me. I HATE shopping. UGH! Anything in the general Antioch area makes me fear for my safety. You never know when someone might bust a cap in you. haha, that goes with this capped category. And Opry Mills makes me want to go Walmart on someone. (remember I renamed going postal to going walmart?!) Geez people! Stay on your side of the mall! UGH! It is hard enough walking through there just by yourself or with one other person but try it with 6 kids! Right after Christmas!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I HATE it!
Hang on… I am fixing to rant about Opry Mills while I am on the subject. Have you ever ate there!!!!!! WHAT!? Are you kidding me!? The Subway doesn’t even have the $5 deal! And ANY drink is going to cost you $2.50!!!! Grrrrrrrrr… makes me so mad. It is such a rip off. To help you make a better choice, Dickies… *growls Dickies cause it is a family tradition*… is a really good choice for food. They are cheap and really good and it is plenty of food. You could even share with a kid! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIF we ever eat there again it will be at Dickies. *growls Dickies again*
AND the stupid strollers are $5!!!! CRAZY! And the “you are here” signs are too far apart. They need a stinkin map like Opryland use to have because you think something is just around the bend when all of the sudden you are at RainForest because you have made it all the way to the end! UGH! Then you have to loop back and hope you don’t pass it. Grrrrrrr.. And might I add. They don’t really have that great of deals!
Back to capped…
Danny didn’t find any Steelers hats at either place. So he ordered some offline from Lids. I don’t know why he limits himself to shopping there.. maybe the buy one get one half off deal but I am sure there are better deals online. Whatever. He got him a Vanderbilt and Steelers hat. And then he Silas and Toby a hat. Ben always wears a John Deer hat.
Peppered-
Let me tell you, the peppered option at Waffle House is SPICY! Wow! Me and Caetie both get them that way and it is super hot. This section is about me and Danny cause we are super hot. lol
Actually…. I don’t make resolutions but this year.. he resolved to be more considerate and a better spouse… at least I think so. He has certainly made great effort to be that way so far this year. So, by default of being treated super awesome it has made me want to be his friend. LMBO! Seriously… we have a hard time getting along sometimes. We are both very different yet sometimes we are very alike. It is weird. He is more serious and talks a hole in the wall. I am more goofy and mess around. I like to sit quietly. He can never sit quietly. Lots of things like that, that will directly conflict with the other. Makes for a nice head butting relationship. So… he is nicer and more considerate. I am more affectionate and loving. So… so far… we have a peppered marriage in 09.
Paul and Emily came over Sunday night. We had Pizza and cupcakes. We played Guitar Hero World Tour. It was fun! We lost about 4 hours of time.
You seriously don’t realize how long you playing until you are tired.
Emily was really good on the drums. I was impressed. Paul was excellent at everything. Danny… well… let’s just say, he likes to sing.
He was printing lyrics and everything. It was funny. I kept reminding him to do man voice because he kept slowly getting higher and higher.
It was too fun. I am sorry at drums. I haven’t tried singing but most of you have heard me sing so I can only imagine how bad I would be. ha! I am good at “easy” guitar. I tried “medium” once and had a hard time. I can’t do CCR Up and Around the Bend. It is harddddddd! I kept getting boo’d off my gig. Too funny.
The boys are playing now. Well.. they are playing Lego Indiana Jones. They love those games.
Tonight I have to go to church for a lock-in. I am not looking forward to it. I banked up sleepy time for last night. I was sooooooooo tired. I was MAKING myself stay awake so I could sleep good because I knew I would be up with teens all night tonight. But what do you know… my sleep was disturbed. It ticked me off and woke me up.. so it blew any sleep I was going to get. Now…I am peaceful. It is pretty quiet around here right now. I feel rested. I don’t know about 4am though. haha.
We are fixing to get dressed. The kids want to spend there Christmas money. They have Target, Belk, and Walmart cards. So I figured we would head towards church and eventually make our way there by 7pm.
Danny is at the Music City Bowl. Vandy is playing. He went really early to tailgate and something else. I don’t know what. Man stuff.
I am just glad he is out of the house. He tends to get restless and causes annoying noises and problems out of our daily routine. Thus, the peaceful day.
Soo… I need to shower. *snarl* Why do showers sound so tedious at times? lol I guess I have a lot of ground to cover. haha.
Talk to ya next year!
Okay, so we are trying to slash our spending. We are in a mess and trying to save anyway we can.
So we have 2 space heaters we are using. We are trying to make it without cutting the Gas on. It is a $300 deposit and a 2 week waiting list so we said forget it. My heater downstairs is working fairly well. Upstairs is okay. But at night…. burrrrrrrrrrrrr….. the kids have been in full blown pjs. I had Ben in the kind with feet last night. That is us heard of in this family.
No one has complained… we are sleeping good in the cool, but when we wake up.. that is the problem! WOW! It is sooooooooooo cold today!! The toilet seat! LORDY! My cheeks tried to crawl up my back. haha. We need 2 more little heaters to help. I know my cats are freezing but they will live… cats have lived outside for thousands of years, they can hack it in my unheated bathroom.
So we were thinking we could do this but, I am thinking, the colder it gets the harder it is going to be. Especially if it snows! YIKES!
*chattering teeth*
*shiver*
I have SEVERAL new videos on Youtube.
Check out Barkey’s remake of To Da River!!

I am sorting through all the kids older clothes. UGH! It is hard work. But I am tired of them putting on summer clothes and shoes when it is freezing outside. Toby is trying on pants to see if they fit. He is definitely going to need pants and shoes! We went to the thrift store last night to look for jeans. You can’t beat thrift jeans. Seriously.. they aren’t funky or anything. Toby has pants that he has only wore once or twice. They have lots of things like that at the thrift store. We couldn’t find anything that fit him. He is at the weird stage. Too short for the bigger clothes but too chubby for the smaller ones. UGH! His shoes are the same way. Seriously.. he has wore crocs all summer and still is wearing them. I can’t find him tennis shoes that we can afford and that he likes and can wear. Size 5 is too small in the kids section but when you move up to the men’s it is really weird and huge. He needs a women’s 7. haha. I can’t find ANYTHING. Poor guy. I am NOT paying $50 for new shoes when he will grow out of them before winter is over. *snarl*
Anyway, only thing I found at the Thrift Shop was a Halloween outfit for me. I got a hippie sun dress. I am getting a black afro wig… I got some AWESOME baby blue stacks. I wore them all around the store. I was amazed at how easy they were to walk in. They are like wearing flats only they are really high off the ground. They were $3. I also found a hideous gold sparkly purse. It was $2. Caetie found a really cool hat for $.99! We love that thrift store. I even got me a pair of black jeans for $6. They still had the tag on them. I also got Danny a nice Pierre Cardin Hawaiian shirt for his Halloween Costume. It was only $2.50. We walked all around Opry Mills Monday looking for a stupid shirt. I am sold on thrift and consignment.
Anywho… Momma and Maw Maw are coming to CRC for Rocktoberfest! I am glad! I need the help keeping up with the kids. I will be working the face painting and tattoos AND working in the Rock House. I am sure Danny will be in the Rock House and drafted everywhere else they can get him. haha.
We have to decorate Danny’s van for trunk or treat. We thought it would be cool to decorate the inside of the van so kids can walk in the back of it to get their candy. I am going to put a black light in there. I will take LOADS of pics! I am excited! Should be fun. I am SOOOOOOO glad Maw Maw and Momma are coming. I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep up with Ben and GG in that crowd while I was working. Scary.
Welp… I gotta get back to my pile of clothes. *huge sigh* We are going to church tonight early to meet Barkey. He is taking over our finances. He really feels called to financial counseling. Let me tell you, we need it. BAD. He will be our accountability partner and budgeter…. we went through Financial Peace University earlier this year. Barkey is in charge of it. We were doing really good then I got really sick with blood clots and then Danny lost a series of jobs. It really really set us back bad. We still are in a mess. But Barkey is going to walk us through. I am glad for my friendship with him. We are all really close.
Hey! I just had a HILARIOUS thought!!!!!!!! Maw Maw and Momma can come as lesbians for Halloween. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhahahahahahaha!!! They wont even have to buy anything!!!!!!! LMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
